In fulfillment of one of our goals, on December 16, 2023, Sisters of Hope (SOH) USA and Canada Inc. visited the Epiphany Lutheran Church located at 4301 Raspe Ave, Baltimore Maryland 21206. During the visit, we were greeted on arrival by the head of the church outreach program serving the needy community. While at the church, we assisted in serving food to the people who came in to get food/meals. Multiple food stations with a variety of breakfast and dinner meals were set up. People were allowed to choose food items for their to-go bags from the different food stations. Being the holiday season, there was also a special toy station set up for the distribution of toys to the kids who were brought to the event. The kids were seen happily grabbing toys from the toy station. After their meals, families enthusiastically gathered around to take pictures with Santa thereby creating cherished memories. After the event ended and the people being served had left, Sisters of Hope members (SOH) stayed back to clean up and put away the chairs and tables. Our day ended with members talking with the pastor of the Epiphany Lutheran Church and taking pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus, the head of the church outreach program, and the pastor. SOH sisters also donated some gift bags with non-perishable items to the head of the church outreach program.
