The Sisters of Hope (SOH) group is a nongovernmental organization founded in 2020 with a vision to improve the lives of the less privileged girl children in Oshie village and the community as a whole. The group comprises women from Oshie, Njikwa Subdivision, Momo Division, Northwest Region, Cameroon, who reside in the United States of America and Canada. This SOH is under the umbrella of Oshie sisters in Development (OSID), the mother organization based in Cameroon; but ferries its activities independently of OSID. Additionally, its activities will expand to addressing issues facing and concerning the Oshie girls. The Organization’s headquarters is in Maryland USA
Our Mission
Our Mission is to share ideas that can add value to SOH and OSID, instill in the Oshie woman the spirit of nostalgia for our roots, share with the less privileged, and thereby fulfill our communal goals. Moreso, we empower ourselves spiritually and economically and partner with other groups to upgrade SOH and OSID.
Our Vision
Our vision is to take advantage of the enabling environment prevailing in Oshie to develop the Oshie girl child/woman through education and mentorship programs to be better versions of themselves and thus contribute to the socio-economic development of Oshie. In the process, the quality of their lives shall improve.
Our Goals
Empower members spiritually, and economically and also assist the less privileged Oshie girl/woman and the Oshie Community, nevertheless offering moral and financial support to members.
