Ongoing Projects

Renovation of the Oshie Cooperative Hall

Oshie Women Economic Empowerment Push
This project shall be housed in the building that housed the Oshie Women Farmers’ Cooperative many years ago, see image to the left. The core goal of this project is to introduce skills that SOH believes will positively impact our women. These women resident in Oshie shall be taught all aspects of tailoring that shall include but not be limited to the knitting of sweaters, designing and producing hand embroidered toghus, hair braiding, traditional African cuisine, weaving hair wigs, etc. Young graduates who cannot find jobs in their respective areas of academics can also come home and acquire these skills. Upon graduation from these skills acquisition programs, graduates can set up shops in Oshie to produce and market their products locally and beyond. We believe that this project would offer our women the opportunity to increase their income level, reduce unemployment, encourage entrepreneurial spirit and growth as well as halt exodus to urban areas where the job market is already tight.

This project would require a lot of financial involvement to complete. We are therefore calling on all Oshie indigenes living at home in Cameroon and abroad as well as all others who love and care about the welfare of our community Oshie to support us in realizing this project.

How we shall spend money to ensure the success of this project.
  1. The money shall be spent on revamping the physical plant.
  2. Installing solar panels on the plant.
  3. Purchasing all the machines required for training.
  4. Hiring the experts that shall go down to Oshie to deliver the skill sets needed.

SOH jealously believes in this project and is determined to see it succeed. Believe in us, entrust us with your money and we shall deliver the goods.
